To solve complex societal problems and overcome limitation, Convergence Research Policy Center works as a think tank for the National Convergence Research.

With the recognized need for the think tank to increase consistency and sustainability of the convergence research policies, the Ministry of Science and ICT(MSIT) supported the foundation of the Convergence Research Policy Center(CRPC) as an affiliated research center at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology(KIST) in December, 2012.
